Voice AI
AI voice agent development for business phone calls
An AI voice agent answers and makes phone calls in natural speech, then takes action in your systems while the caller is still on the line. We build AI voice agents for US businesses that need to handle inbound calls, follow up with leads or confirm appointments without adding headcount, with clear handoff to your team when a person is needed.

Quick answer
What is an AI voice agent?
An AI voice agent is software that answers and makes phone calls in natural speech, combining speech recognition, a language model and a realistic synthetic voice. It can answer questions, book appointments, follow up with leads and update your systems during the call, then transfer to a person when the caller needs human help.
- An AI voice agent combines speech recognition, a language model and a natural voice.
- Unlike an IVR, callers say what they need in their own words.
- Outbound automated calls in the US are subject to TCPA consent rules.
- A single-purpose inbound agent typically goes live in two to four weeks.
01
What is an AI voice agent?
An AI voice agent combines three pieces: speech recognition that turns the caller's words into text, a language model that decides what to say and do, and a natural-sounding voice that speaks the reply. Modern voice AI responds quickly enough to hold a normal back-and-forth conversation, including interruptions.
What makes it an agent rather than a phone tree is that it can act. During the call it can look up a customer, check a calendar, book a slot, create a ticket or send a text summary, using the same tools your staff use.

AI voice agent for business: common uses
Most businesses start with one call type that is high volume and predictable. Once that works well, more call types can be added.
Typical uses for an AI voice agent for business include:
- Answering inbound calls after hours or when lines are busy, and capturing the reason for the call
- Qualifying new leads with your questions and booking them into a sales calendar
- Confirming, rescheduling or reminding customers about appointments
- Calling back web form leads shortly after they submit, where you have their consent
- Answering routine questions about hours, service areas, pricing ranges and policies
- Collecting details for a service request and creating the job or ticket
WHAT WE BUILD
What we automate
Typical automations, each scoped and quoted at a fixed price after a free review.
Inbound call answering and routing
When a call comes in, the voice agent greets the caller, identifies the reason, answers routine questions and transfers urgent or complex calls to the right person with a summary.
Speed-to-lead callback
When a consented web form or ad lead arrives, the agent calls within minutes, asks qualifying questions and books a meeting in your sales calendar.
Appointment confirmation calls
A day before each booking, the agent calls to confirm, reschedule or cancel and updates the calendar or scheduling system automatically.
Service request intake
The agent collects address, issue details and preferred times, then creates a job in ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro or Jobber, or a ticket in your help desk.
Call summaries to CRM
After every call, a transcript and short summary are logged on the contact in HubSpot, Salesforce or GoHighLevel, with a follow-up task when needed.
Missed-call text back
If a caller hangs up before the agent answers, a text is sent offering a callback or a booking link, where texting consent rules allow.
03
AI phone agent vs IVR and call centers
A traditional IVR asks callers to press numbers and often sends them in circles. An AI phone agent lets callers say what they need in their own words and responds to it. It also writes everything into your systems, which an IVR usually cannot.
Compared with an answering service or offshore call center, an AI phone agent can follow your scripts exactly, pick up many calls at once and log structured data every time. People are still better at sensitive, complex or emotional calls, so we design every voice agent to transfer those to your team with a short summary.
04
How we build voice AI that sounds right
We start with a free review of your call types, call recordings or notes, phone system and the tools the agent needs to update. You receive a fixed quote and a staged plan.
We then write the conversation design: greeting, questions, allowed answers, things the agent must never say and the exact handoff rules. We build on voice platforms such as Vapi, Retell AI or ElevenLabs, connect telephony through Twilio or your existing provider, and wire the agent to your CRM and calendar using n8n, Make or custom Python. Before going live, we run test calls covering accents, background noise, interruptions and off-topic callers.
After launch, we review call transcripts with you and tune the script. You own the accounts and phone numbers, and every call is recorded and transcribed where your setup and local consent rules allow.
05
Compliance and caller experience
Phone automation carries rules that matter. Outbound calls and texts in the US are subject to the TCPA and related state laws, which generally require prior consent for automated calls to mobile numbers. Some states also require all parties to consent before a call is recorded. We build consent capture and disclosures into the flow, but you should confirm your own obligations with your legal advisor.
We also recommend the agent tells callers it is an automated assistant and always offers a way to reach a person. That tends to build more trust than trying to pass as human.
06
What an AI voice agent costs
Build work is a fixed price, quoted after the free review. The price depends on how many call types the agent handles, how many systems it connects to and how much testing the scripts need. A single-purpose inbound agent typically goes live in two to four weeks, while multi-step inbound and outbound setups are delivered in stages.
Running costs are mostly per minute: telephony, speech and model usage from the providers you choose. We estimate these from your call volumes during the review.

FAQ
AI Voice Agents questions
How does an AI voice agent work?
It converts the caller's speech to text, uses a language model to decide on a reply and any actions, then speaks the reply in a natural voice. During the call it can check calendars, look up records and create tasks in your systems.
Can an AI phone agent transfer calls to a real person?
Yes. We set clear rules for when the agent hands off, such as urgent issues, upset callers or questions outside its script. It can transfer the live call or take a message and alert your team with a summary.
Is it legal to use an AI voice agent for outbound calls?
Outbound automated calls in the US are regulated by the TCPA and state laws, which generally require prior consent, especially for mobile numbers. We build consent checks and disclosures into the flow, but you should confirm your specific obligations with your own legal advisor.
Will callers know they are talking to AI?
We recommend the agent says so at the start of the call. Most callers care more about getting a fast, accurate answer than who gives it, and being open about it helps trust.
Can a voice agent use our existing phone number?
Usually, yes. Calls can be forwarded from your current number or routed through Twilio or a compatible phone system, so customers keep calling the number they already know.
How long does it take to set up voice AI?
A single-purpose inbound voice agent typically goes live in two to four weeks after the review, including test calls. Larger setups with outbound calling and several integrations are delivered in stages.
